problem with festival output module

Hi,
So I think I have found the problem:

Festival only works for me if it is selected as default module in
speechd.conf
I tried the folloowing before: 

AddModule "festival"     "sd_festival",,,,
AddModule "espeak-generic" "sd_generic" ...

defaultmodule espeak-generic

languagedefaultmodule en festival
and
languagedefaultmodule de espeak-generic

In this setup speechd never changes the output module.
Is this a bug?

Same setup with festival as defaultmodule
works as expected.
