Does anyone know when the libasound bugs get finally fixed

Hi all,
it's getting more and more annoying, that the latest libasound2 libraries seem to stay broken: When installing updates 
of various programs, among SD, you must install the latest libasound2-1.0.16-2. It is still buggy, that means that SD 
often crashes during work. In the installation notes this is mentioned, but it doesn't get fixed. Downgrading causes 
apt-get not to install anything, unless the latest libasound is reinstalled.
What can I do? The only solution is to switch to OSS output for Espeak, but why to do so, when Alsa is installed?
Any ideas?
